Re: [BaadAssGremlins] NEw to the group!

I wouldn't think not having a fan shroud would be causing that much trouble. If it has sat for 25 years I would question the radiator. I have had them in the pass where I have flush them and I could see water going through them but the radiator was still half stopped up. I would also check the timing. While they will run if the timing is off that can cause them to run hot. Good luck with your Hornet.

Subject: [BaadAssGremlins] NEw to the group!

Hi y'all, MY name is Paul and I'mnew to the group. I dont have a Gremmie yet, but I do own a 1971 Hornet Sportabout. Purchased from texas, trailered to St Louis and after 6weeks, is almost ready to hit the highways. It had sat for some 25+ years and I figure joining the group will allow me to give and recieve new info!!

Currently I'm looking for a few parts, fan shroud being one of them. I cant seem to get the car to stop overheating. I've completely flushed the cooling system, installed a new thermostat, water pump and 13 psi radiator cap... the only thing missing is the fan shroud (car didnt come with one) will this cause the car to overheat???

Thank you,

Paul J. Theurer
