Re: [BaadAssGremlins] Old Car Rant Again

I also have no favorite when it comes to cars.  The main reason that I have my Gremlin is because it was the first car that I bought new in 72.  It was a V8 Gremlin “X”.  but I also own a 59 Thunderbird with a 352 cid. engine, Cruise-o-Matic trans,  It’s a clean unrestored car, with only 52,000 miles, and a 97 BMW Z3 (I tell everyone that’s it’s my wife’s car, but she never drives it, unless her car is in the shop) It’s a 4 cyl with a manual 5 speed.  My everyday vehicle is a 2001 Dodge Ram with 250,000 + miles on it, and still running strong,  My wife everyday car is a 2005 Lincoln Aviator, with only 28,000 miles, she doesn’t drive must, and on weekend when we are together, we take my truck.   All of these cars except for the Gremlin, I bought because I got a good deal on them,  I was not looking to replace a vehicle, I just found a deal that I couldn’t past on.

Since I travel almost every week with my job, I get to rent a lot of different car, and most are just transportation, nothing more, but I have gotten a the new Camaro, and Challenger for a week, and I can say that they are fast, and handle well, then just feel great to drive, but I have no desire to own one.  If I’m going to spend $40,000+ for a car, I would rather buy an older muscle car.  You could buy one hell of a AMC Machine (which is the next car that I want to add to my stable) .for that much money.
