You know this sounds stupid but in the year 2050 those 2000 Focuses, Malibu's, and whatever car you see everywhere will be a collector's items and rare as can be. You will see them at car shows. Just an example of that is our beloved Gremlins. When my mother brought my Gremlin in 80 if you would have told me 30 years later I would be taking it to cars shows and people would be going ape shi* over it I would have told you that you were crazy and would have suggested that you needed a long rest in a mental institution.They were all over the place and all they were was a small cheap car. If I had known what I know now I would never gotten rid of my low millage 77. Even what is the car around here the almighty Mustang was worth a little of nothing at one time. I had a friend who bought him a
brand new 69 Mustang Mach one with the somewhat rare 390 in it. Most of them had 351s. In the early 80's he decided to trade it off. I tried to talk him out of doing saying it would be a collectors item. I talk it about it so much he said give me $500 and you can park it in your driveway. His theory was by the time it got to be a collectors item he would be dead and gone. I guess I agreed with him I didn't buy it and he traded it for a new Escort. Look at what it is worth today. My point is I have to agree all this new what we call junk today is going to be the collector cars of the future. This time around though I will be dead and gone before it happens.
