The folks below are looking to interchange a 72 Javelin from 3 to 4 speed.
I figured some of ya'll here would be more than willing to help them along, if
you have any advise feel free to reply and copy your reply to them, thanks in

Thank you for all the great information. I don't know who else to ask this
question to, so I hope you have the time to help. I have a '72 javelin
that has a 304 engine in it that was converted from a 6 cyl. There is a 3
speed hurst in the car now and I have a lead on a 4 speeed (which is what it
really needs). I do not know what I would need for the conversion and I
was hoping you could help with your vast knowledge of these cars. This is
the second AMC Javlein that I have owned and love the cars, but am looking to
get a little better versed when it comes to interchangable parts. I know
the 4 speed came out of a '68 AMC, don't know what car. Can you
help?
