MY LOCAL HOBBY AND TROPHY SHOP DO THAT KIND OF THING THEY DO PLACQUES FOR SPORTS SO I DONT THINK IT WOULD BE MUCH DIFFERENT BUT THANKS FOR THE ADVICE AND I KNOW WHAT YOU MEEN WHEN YOU SAY YOU MISS THEM WHEN THEY ARE GONE i lost my father to lung cancer back in 74 i do miss him one of the things that i miss the most is we used to build models together i still have the last model we were working on it was a motorized t bucket called big red rod from linberge it is in very bad shape from all the moving i have done over the years but i actually found one that was still in a sealed box i just have not been able to start working on either one for some reason i get overwhelmed but right now i am having fun with my 11 year old daughter has taken an interest in building models and she is very good at it i am very proud of her and hopfully my son will follow her lead but he is only 4 now so he has a few years to go before i start him building again thanks for your kind words and i think the placque is a great way to show my appriciation for all my mother has done for me and the morals that she has given to me and when i am not showing my car i will have it displayed with my fathers service flag from when he fought in WWII so that we might have the freedom to choose which cars we want to drive american all the way not this jap crap they sell now although i must say that most of the parts i have been buying from the part stores for my gremmie are forieghn made and this thing with crysler and gm do not look good for american made cars all that is going to be left are fords YUK!!! Spend as much time as you can with her in the coming months. You sure miss them when they are gone. I like your plaque idea. Since my Gremlin was my mothers car I have been trying to come up with something. I don't really care much for the vinyl stickers. Wonder where you would get one made. Hang in there. Doctors don't know every thing. You might still have time to take her for a ride in your Gremlin. > Terry > > --- On Sat, 5/30/09, henry williams <rwexpress05@...> wrote: > > > From: henry williams <rwexpress05@...> > Subject: Re: [BaadAssGremlins] Re: Its hard to believe! > To: BaadAssGremlins@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > Date: Saturday, May 30, 2009, 1:13 AM > > > > > > > > > > > > > no not yet i had a financial set back these damn bills !!!lol i am in the process of putting it back together so i can actually drive it and if i get it back on the road i will call you if you are still interested in doing some welding on it I i was drilling a hole in the fire wall to run a sensor wire and my calculations were off by 1" and drilled through both brake lines whoops!!! so i have new lines and i am running them this weekend and i am still trying to find some brake shoe hold down hard ware but i have been spending time up at the hospital as my mother was just diagnosed with cancer and it is terminal so my car and any other plans i had are on the back burner for the next 3-6 months although when i am working on my car it keeps my mind straight i really wanted to finish it and show it to my mother as she used to own a 74 when she lived in florida and i think she would have had a blast driving around in it as she is almost 90 now i think it > would have brought back a lot of memories for her as she used to use hers for a wide load escourt service in the keys but now i do not think that i will finish it before she goes it is a shame but it gives me a new goal to strive for and when i finish it i might have a dedication plaque made up for it in memory of her sorry to bring every one down who reads this and doc hope every thing is ok with you well i have to go now want to finish reading the rest of the posts in here as they keep me sane sometimes it is like reading a good book i am glad that i joined this group there are a lot of good people here ...henry > > --- On Fri, 5/29/09, Davis Martin <martin-davis@ sbcglobal. net> wrote: > > > From: Davis Martin <martin-davis@ sbcglobal. net> > Subject: Re: [BaadAssGremlins] Re: Its hard to believe! > To: BaadAssGremlins@ yahoogroups. com > Date: Friday, May 29, 2009, 8:32 AM > > > > > > > > > > LOl o ya. actually cut in 1/2 but I have bothe halfs LOL > Davis > Henry, you get anything done with yours yet? > > > --- On Fri, 5/29/09, henry williams <rwexpress05@ yahoo.com> wrote: > > > From: henry williams <rwexpress05@ yahoo.com> > Subject: Re: [BaadAssGremlins] Re: Its hard to believe! > To: BaadAssGremlins@ yahoogroups. com > Date: Friday, May 29, 2009, 4:32 AM > > > > > > > > > davis dont forget the half of one you have > > --- On Wed, 5/27/09, Davis Martin <martin-davis@ sbcglobal. net> wrote: > > > From: Davis Martin <martin-davis@ sbcglobal. net> > Subject: Re: [BaadAssGremlins] Re: Its hard to believe! > To: BaadAssGremlins@ yahoogroups. com > Date: Wednesday, May 27, 2009, 8:12 AM > > > > > > > > > > Ok SO I'll chime in. > I have 2 currently, of the 26 I have owned. He also cut off the rain gutters from the roof and got a little into the roof panel!! I have the panels to fix that car.....NO ROT on it anywhere. No engine/trans. ..interior either!
