New ones are on eBay all the time for around $130.00 - $150.00 – might be able to get them from the AMC vendors Like Galvin’s or APD or even your local auto parts store.

So  if I use a 401 that came with a automatic Transmission, and I want to use a 4 speed, do I need to have the engine rebalanced with the manual transmission flywheel?

All 2nd gen and 3rd generation AMC v-8's are externally ballanced. The heads can be figured out by casting # and looking on the aforementioned link.
