| Doc made me think about leaving cars in driveways and streets and one of
the most famous stolen AMXs came quickly to mind. This one off prototype AMX
with Rogue rear end was built in Kenosha's skunkworks in 1968 and stolen off the
STREETS of Kenosha, Wisconsin and NEVER HAS BEEN SEEN SINCE. Yes, 40+ years ago. the man on the left was project manager, and I don't remember his name, or
the actual crew on the right, these are only two photos of this vehicle known to
exist. It's my understanding the car was a 290V8. Note the YOM plates (year of
manufacturer). Maybe one day this car will possibly surface in someone's basement or even
in pieces, would love to document it and get some ideas as to why it was built
to begin with. I have heard stories thru years that it was damaged at the
Burlington, WI test track in the rear, and instead of parting it
out, someone decided to experiment.  Again, just a STORY I heard
decades ago, so don't know if true or not! __._,_.___
