Re: [BaadAssGremlins] Wire welder feedback

I agree and disagree. I would definitly save your money and buy a better one later. One with Gas. I bought a Lincoln SP 135 which is a 135 amp 110 volt welder. It comes with the gas line and regulator. I welded for a while with the fluxcore wire then I got a deal on a gas tank and I will NEVER go back to flux core! I love that welder for auto use. I did however buy a lincoln sp175 220 volt mig for welding heavier stuff like the ladder bar brackets and such. But I can't get myself to get rid of the 110 welder cause I can bring it anywhere and weld just about anything up to 3/16. You can even do 1/4" but have to weld it with 3 passes.

 My experiences. Others may differ

Save your money and buy a 220 volt unit that uses the gas. The 110  unit is too light and too fussy for automotive applications. Also the gas gives a better quality weld than the flux.

I'm thinking about buying one of these 110 volts wire welders

Anybody ever use one?
