| There are no 'volcano wheels' ya'll just 'volcano caps' you have dumbasses
like me who since 1970s have affectionately called them 'volcano rims' however. Just like the Rebel Machine rims everyone knows as, uh, Rebel
Machine rims. AMC called them '15 inch styled steel wheels' but if you call them
'15 inch styled steel wheels' even AMCers go Paris, Britney or Jessica on you
with catatonic look. Those rims were made by Kelsey Hayes (machine rims) and
were used on many 1970 thru 1971 Ambassador, AMX, Javelin & Matador Series,
and of course standard on 70 Rebel Machine! Yes, they are called Rally rims, but also referred to as 8 slots. If you
take a gander (can I say that on here?) but look closely at the large photo in
my auction above, and you will see the soft touch rims (14 inch) and also the
aluminum AMC mags both sporting volcano caps, that is from the huge cardboard
dealer display catalog I have here from 1978. Hoep this helps! __._,_.___
