Good answer Dave -we think alike. I have tried several times to match up pulleys and always wind up changing more and more stuff just to find more things affected. The problem is in the waterpump so go there to fix it.I wish the manufacturers would pay more attention to height of pulley flange -not just close enough but spot on.Rick

Have you thought of pressing the pump hub a bit further down the shaft to get the pulley hub to line up ? I've done this on six cyl pumps where there are variations. 30 seconds on a hydraulic press will fix it.
