In some states, it depends on the year if it requires a title or just a Bill of Sale to be registered. In my state, any vehicle prior to 1975 does not require a title to be registered. So my 74 Gremlin has a bill of sale only - the state did not issue me a title, but allowed me to register the car. As long as I paid the revenue taxes, they were happy. Do you have a bill of sale for your car? If so, check Texas registration requirement laws for the title cut off year (i.e. when did TX begin requiring titles on vehicles?). You might try a title search if the auto was ever titled or apply for a lost title. Check with your revenue department about this process. Otherwise, I'll write you a bill of sale for the state of AL if your vehicle is pre-75. It'll cost you though..........;-) LOL {Joking} ~Lu~ --- In BaadAssGremlins@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, "HEL" <strlcuckoo_46@...> wrote: > > I know that some states do not issue titles for cars of our vintage, > they go by Bill of Sale to register.
