-Hey all the newbie again, First of all my condolences to you and yours. I know it is a hard time for anyone, just know that there are ones who care from places one would never think of.All wounds unseen are healed with time and understanding.Hang in there.keep all the good thoughts a going. Second: I do not care if i am an "Underdog". people used to laugh at me when i first bought my Gremmie back in 1973. a Gremlin X "Levi" edition,258 straight six.Once i did a little fixing up with then a Clifford Research 4 bbl intake, Holley 435 dbl pumper(jetted down),headers with duel exhaust, distributor curve kit, lift kit in the rear and a stableizer bar with new MEATS in the rear. the first time i raced it was july 4th '74 and beat a then 72 chevy pick up with a 250 v-8 in it( the guy didn't know HOW to drive. I wish I would have raced for pinks rather than territory....lol People still laugh at me when they see my "Haulin Half Pint" and say HEY! i haven;'t seen one of thoses in years where's the other half? I say I can still get it if I want it...it's a Hornet Sportabout! let them laugh I still LOVE my Gremmie! Be Well all! PS: I am in the process right now of up updateing with a new carb and electronic ignition and a hotter coil! weeeeeeeee - In BaadAssGremlins@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, "Eddie Stakes" <eddiestakes@...> wrote: > > Well said about AMC people being passionate. Not only their cars but those folks we love in our daily lives too. So we bristle sometimes when a announcer at a track calls our 11 second Javelin a Rambler, or Hot Rod runs a spoof article they would have never run for another 'orphan' car like Plymouth or Olds. Underdog, boy that brings back some memories of Polly Purebread and Doctor Simon Barsinister always wanting to take over world. What the hell would you do if you accomplished taking over world? Then you gotta feed and dress them all. > Eddie Stakes' > Planet Houston AMX > 713.464.8825 > eddiestakes@... > www.planethoustonamx.com > email reply currently 5-9 days > 8-19 day reply times, just call! > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Rick Griffin > To: BaadAssGremlins@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > Sent: Thursday, April 17, 2008 9:22 PM > Subject: Re: [BaadAssGremlins] Re: A little help please!! > > > AMC people are caring people, look how we love our cars.
