There are a number of pink AMXs running around out there; Scott's is not the Dorian car however. The pink cars were promotional AMX's....some were Playboy related, others were simply Dealership related, yet others were Mary Kay Cosmetics related. On the early ones, they were usually low enders, that is, usually 290/AT cars with not a lot of options. AMC tended to do thiws with "giveaway" cars, whether Gillette AMXs, or Donohues or whatever, even my Continental Airlines Gremlin Giveaway car was about as stock as could get: 232, 3spd floor, no AC, PS, or PB, but did have rally rims, so not a lot of options.

The Dorian/Vetri AMX interior was indeed black. A really good model is a ERTL scale pink AMX that I believe was a exclusive to Toys R Us a few years ago; very nice.

Doc, I remember seeing the car (the pink AMX) at a burger place in Kenosha in 2004. At the time it was a bit beat-up (paint wise) and the interior was black. Our past club president Scott Campbell now owns the car and it's been totally restored. I am currently building a model of the pink Playboy bunny's AMX. Does anyone know the color of the interior? I am pretty close on the pink for the body as Testors makes a "Fifty's Pink". Next does anyone have any info, links and or pictures for the duel 6 cyl AMC powered dragster. Thanks
