6cyl mounts will not work, they must be from a V8 car as mentioned before.  Gary 'Themix2'

Don't know if he had the mounts. I didn't ask for them. I'm learning a hard lsson, but really appreciate all the help from this group. Would the mounts from the 6 cyc work with the V8?

That's why your engine isn't going in.you need the steel mounts from any 1966-69 Rambler American,Rogue,SC/Rambler any 70-2-76 Gremlin,any 70-77 Hornet 78-79 Concord and 79 Spirit. did John Rosa have the steel motor mounts when he sold you the V8 crossmember?
