I’d say the Corgi suffers less from
a lack of detail, but more from a lack of proper proportions. It simply looks ‘deformed’ by
stylistic inaccuracies…much the same as every diecast
metal incarnation of 71-74 Javelins has had to suffer right up to today. The JL
Hornet was much more accurate in it’s proportions. What ever happened to that rumored 1/18th-scale
Javelin-AMX, eh? Now that we’ve got that sweet Rebel…I want that humpster!! As for the Wal-Mart JL…it’s
just another 1/64, issued in a Matchbox-size cardboard box instead of a blister pack, along with a
bunch of other James Bond JLs. John W. Rosa www.JavelinAMX.com The Corgi Hornet was very nice, but you are correct,
for it's size, the JL version was more detailed. I
believe that JL came out with a 1:43rd scale Bond Hornet also that was
exclusive to Wal Mart, I have never seen one however.
