Take my advice it's not anything but the crap electronic ignition. Put a 74 points set up in it and your problems will be over. Seen the problem from when they changed to that crap in 75 and all the years since then no mater what brand of electronic crap AMC used. Even new modules are a 50-50 chance of being no good.
