The service manual states---- 13psi at 600 rpm, 37-75psi above 1600 rpm. As you can see, the range is quite a bit. I think as long as the engine is not ticking and knocking badly and you have oil pressure in this range, then you should be good. I have owned many vehicles with the 258 engine and a lot of them even had lifters that were noisey/ticking, but the engines still ran great forever.
