[BaadAssGremlins] all in perspective

I was going thru some of the recent old car auctions results and did a
little comparison or two.

I commonly compare auction results
fromt he world's largest rodeo, the Houston Livestock Rodeo, which just
closed, with classic car auctions like I guess Barrett Jackson.

Always good for a laugh, although it is big...no...huge money here. Imagine
$210,000 for a pair of stinky ass foul fowl! That is some expensive buffalo
wings and you don't even get to gawk at the short shorts at Hooters even:

For $300,000 you could get a number of GTO's, AMX's, and other iron...or you
could get a big old cow. Pretty cow. Those ain't things to milk under there
city fellow, that is a bull!!!

The choices are endless!
Cloned sheep or cloned Super Bee?

Mustang GT-500 or Palimino?

Grand Champ Impala 427 or Grand Champ Barrow?

Only $161K for the Barrow, and the Impala will set you back $58K for a 64
409, 4spd.

Best thing about the animals above and you can't do with cars is breed the
animals so down the road, you will have another Grand Champ Barrow or
Turkey. Can't breed them thar cars.

This however didn't stop a kooky British guy from at least trying to have
sex with cars. I wonder if that Aston Martin is indeed, pregnant? Possibly
he is the father of Anna Nicole's baby too? We will have to call Maury
Povich to make sure:

I don't make that stuff up, but thought.....ewwww...what if someone wanted
to judge that car? What is that on the back seat? Is it cotton candy, or
swap meet sausage on a stick or.....ewww.........NEXT!!!

Each of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo junior auctions brought in $1.2
million or more. Twelve of the junior auction Grand Champion and
Reserve Grand Champion records were broken. The prices for the top winners
were (*new world's records):
*Grand Champion Work of Art, $165,000; and *Reserve Grand Champion Work of
Art, $100,000
*Grand Champion Barrow, $161,000; and *Reserve Grand Champion Barrow,
$111,000
*Grand Champion Pen of Broilers, $201,000; and *Reserve Grand Champion Pen
of Broilers, $140,00
*Grand Champion Goat, $108,000; and *Reserve Grand Champion Goat, $130,000
*Grand Champion Lamb, $170,000; and *Reserve Grand Champion Lamb, $125,000
Grand Champion Steer, $300,000; and Reserve Grand Champion Steer, $160,000
*Grand Champion Turkey, $175,000; and *Reserve Grand Champion Turkey,
$106,000

* Total auction sales (including Champion Wine Auction and cattle sales)
tallied $11,534,834. Of this amount, junior auction sales totaled
 $8,134,950.

* The junior auction totals** included: market steers ($2,389,450), lamb and
goat ($1,563,400), barrows ($1,229,100), poultry ($1,451,000), and school
art ($1,502,000) (**unaudited preliminary totals that do not include cash
contributions and some purchase commitment amounts).

So do I want a Goat for $108K or a 'goat' convertible Judge for $350K? A
Yenko or Steer? A Turkey for $175K or a few SS/AMXs? Well, DUH on that last
one. Although $175K is about what I would spend at a strip club here in
Houston with Charles Barkley. Lucky for me Chuck would pick up tab. Note
those above are all new world records. The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo
is a 501(c)(3) charity that benefits youth, supports education, and
facilitates better agricultural practices through exhibitions and
presentation. Since the Show's beginning in 1932, the Show has committed
more than $200 million to the youth of Texas.

I like the idea however that you buy a steer for $300K, breed him and make
$300K X 10. I guess one could breed Novas, Cutlesses and Catalinas too.
