Hi Patrick, on the title, yes, Broadway Title on my
vendors list indeed can issue titles for about $150 for pre 1976 cars. Sopme
states don't require titles and didn't issue them to begin with in the 70s like
Maine, Mississippi, Alabama, might be a few more. Not all states will honor a
Broadway title however. Basically they "buy" the car from you. Then issue you a
AL title/bill of sale stating you bought this vehicle, VIN, ect. Again, some
states won't honor that and there is a lot of red tape involved like
having a series of hearings, and having DPS/law enforcement come out and
physically inspect the vehicle and so forth.
It will be easier to sell the vehicle however if
you do have a title. I think what Davis was insinuating however that it will be
difficult to get $2K for a Gremlin without a title. It might be worth your while
however to instead of offering the vehicle as is with all the parts, to sell
some of the key items you mention seperately, and sell the body alone for
someone who wants to make a drag car perhaps.
As for ebay, eh, it is not a sell all there either,
but a gamble like everything else, but you do have a wide audience, and possibly
some others who might be interested in the Gremlin, with or without all the
extras. Feel free to place your ad (I would suggest after you list it on ebay,
then put the link) on my AMC CLASSIFIEDS on my website, you can slso post your
free car for sale ad at the following places:
www.epage.com
and they allow one photo and
www.craigslist.com whihc allows four
photos. Good luck with it either way,
