Brad if the temp gauge worked I would rule out the resister as part of
the gas gauge problem. Like I said if you ground the sender wire at the
tank the gauge should go past full. That usually means the sender is
bad. If not it has to be the wire or the gauge itself. I had the whole
interior out of the car so I could check the wiring. I already had a new
tank and sender in the car.
