Re: [BaadAssGremlins] hornet mirror template wanted

On both cars Terry. I matched the factory drivers side to add a pass
side mirror. It looks factory and is adjustable just fine. Maybe it is
just me but who is going to measure the mirror if it is 1/2" to 1" off
unless it is not horizontal? The height if they were judging the car
against a known 100 point original car. Also dealer installed pass side
mirrors were not measured as close as I did. Also my pass side mirrors
are non-remote mirrors on both cars. I made them that way from a lot of
13 assorted mirrors I won off of eBay that a member here put me on to
over here more than 2 years ago. Remote cables break and need a hole
some where in the car for the adjuster. Eddie where there any 73-74
Hornet's made from the factory with non-remote pass side mirrors?

Thanks Doc. I thought I was missing something there. You put the passenger side mirror on the same place you put the drivers side.

Sorry Eddie I am to old for this, are you kidding?. Measure the drivers
side mirror if it is factory and drill the holes to mount the pass side
mirror in the same spot, Duh. Did that on both my Hornet's.

Subject: [BaadAssGremlins] hornet mirror template wanted

Mike below is looking for measurments to install his mirror correctly on his
73 Hornet on the passenger side. I have a template for 68-69 AMX on my site
under "restoration"
http://www.planethoustonamx.com/restoration/amx%20pa2.jpg
but that won't help him out. Anyone know how far back he has to mount this
or can send him photos with instructions he would appreciate it!

Eddie,
Still a little confusion. The auction was for a Hornet passenger side
mirror. I have the mirror and the rubber/plastic mounting base/gasket. I
am looking for the mounting template for a passenger side mirror for a 1973
Hornet 2 door hatchback (mine is at body and paint - in primer as we speak
:-) Might even be in color by the weekend...
