Hi Bill, no you are right, and many are living paycheck to paycheck. The other day there was a series of reports on why people can't save money for retirement, and so forth! Pretty eye opening to say the least! My point is more that Bad Service trancends age. I have walked into Best Buy for instance and I think but butt is glowing red like a dog in heat the way salespeople swarm on me. The younger ones however I have noticed (and just my observation) usually know more abuot the newer products, and warranties, whether Ipods or what computer hows how much memory, how quick, cell phone services and so forth. The older (I guess I am greybeard at 47) fellows seem to know more about appliances, tv's, plasmas screens and so forth. Luck of the draw whoever you get, and then what type of service they give you, but I hate to be followed around like Mike Tyson's cellmate in prison in a store also. This also applies to anyone you might talk to on phone, whether bank, credit card company, ordering something out of catalog, you have to be knowledgeable on that product, how it works. No one says you have to be able to disect it but you do, or should, know your shit! A AMC example? Pick up any AMC salesmen brochures from 60s or 70s and look at how AMC taught their salesmen and women to sell their vehicles, great example!
