Interesting. Here in Houston at the O'Reillys or Auto Zone, both on Gessner, when I drive up in one of my AMCs the place usually empties out to come check it out! There is one Mexican fellow who don't speak english however who calls all my cars "Matadors" pronounced 'mah-tah-dour' and you have to roll your tongue on the "r" for special effect like the tv anchors changing their accent when saying Rodriguez or Gonzalez! But time usually stands still up there when i park the old Rebel, or SC/360 or Ambassador out front. Nothing happens with the Eagles however, I'm happy to get out of parking lot without get backed into by 'futbol' fans at the taco stand in the parking lot! Speaking of which, tonight when I went to drop off a package at FedEx, I went to Happy Village chinese buffet on Daily Ashford. I think the 'happy' part of their name is the fact the neighborhood don't have any stray cats and dogs which end up in the hot and sour soup or general tso's special. But parked out front was a white Lotus, my guess is mid 80s, looks like my Bricklin, really low to ground. Nice looking thing, but had lots of fiberglass cracks, didn't know those were fiberglass? And I also hit the Toys R Us, and found a 60s Sizzle Big Bad Blue AMX, and noticed for the first time I have ever seen a small miniature Avanti diecast, it is same size 1:64th scale Johnny Lightning.
