That's the one thing about the 1975 and later 6 cyl's with A/C I don't like. The alt. running off the A/C compressor. On my 74's all you need is the smaller belt from a non A/C car to eliminate the A/C compressor and not remove it. Come to think of it I have never seen a later car wit out A/C. I wonder what the belt configuration looks like? You may be right Terry and just leave well enough alone on this one. "Doc" ------------------------ Yahoo! If you didn't need it to run the alternator I would give a try but I am half way scared too. If the compressor would lock up I don't see any easy way to run a belt to the alternator. Never thought much about it before since all I do is drive to parking lots. Would be nice having it for the ride to and from Dayton. Think I should try it or leave well enough alone for now. Right now my plans are leaving at 4 in the morning to beat the heat and the traffic and spend some time in the air force museum Thursday. I think a couple of guys on here are going when are you going up.Terry.
Sneak preview the all-new Yahoo.com. It's not radically different. Just radically better.
