I don't think it is a scam. You check his feedback and you will see that he sold and has good feedback on a 1965 Mova which he sold for $12,500. This is a pretty positive sign. Plus, the way a scam would work is the person would say somewhere in the ad that he might be willing to sell the car for some ridiculous low price(like 8000) and to Email him off Ebay. Then he would sell the car to 20 people and never be heard from again. There is no mention of anything like this in the ad. He only wants $1000 within 24 hours which is not unreasonable and since you can pay in person, this again would not make much sense as scams go. More likely, he put the car up for auction and the reserve was not met, As much as we love Gremlins, we all know that $20,000 for a Gremlin-no matter how souped up, is more than most people are willing to pay--especially when you can get a Camaro or some other generic car for the same price.
