Luke on the tire size I am an old timer and don't know the metric sizes.
All I know is I told the guy I wanted the equivalent of an E-60-14 for
the rear and my son told me the slightly narrower size for the front. I
needed sway bar clearance in the front. I have 14" BFG T/A radials on
both my Hornet's. I see a reasonably priced billet aluminum over flow
tank in Jeggs catalog. For the polished version they want 20$ more. I
will polish it my self I ain't giving them 20$ for somthing I can do
myself in a few hours. I drive my orange Hornet almost every day. I had
an old lady at the bank yesterday say it looked brand new. AMC's in the
last 6-8 years are finally getting the respect from the Ford, Chevy and
Mopar guys that they deserve. Maybe because there are so few around and
it is usually a nice one? who know's and I don't care I have owned and
driven an AMC continually since 1965. But it is nice to get compliments
on my cars.

Afew hundred extra bucks huh. I have the same problem,
but it will be going to new tires. I have 205-70-14s
on it now and they look good. I wanted BFGs or
Firehawks, but I was informed they no longer come in
14s. Any ideas what I could get??
I hope to replace the water pump in the Hornet soon
and while I'm at it I'll have the radiator checked
out. I'll see if my Dad can make a puke tank for my
car like the on in his'40 Chevy. It's an aluminum tube
like the ones you can buy. I'll take the Hornet over
to a local cruise in after work tomorrow. After
hearing stories of peoples reactions to AMCs I miss
driving mine. Luke
