A fuel filter should not affect gas mileage but as cheap as they are It
would not hurt to replace it. I use the metal one that fits my son's "K"
car wagon. I have 2 of them. One just before the fuel pump and one
between the fuel pump and carb. It is a trick I learned from an old time
mechanic many years ago.

lol im thinkin i may buy a reman carb to see if that helps, yall think?
the only other thing i can think of is maybe the fuel filter, but this
