I met a guy at the 2000 American Motors Nationals in Ct. that collects AMC cars. Only mint unrestored originals. I found out he was from the same town I lived in and had a garage just for his cars. He was some rich stock broker but I never got to go inside of his garage to look at the cars. He recently got a warehouse 6 blocks from where I live. Driving by monday there were 6 beautiful 70's era AMC outside. I stopped and went in. He wasent there but his mechanic was. There had to be 50-75 cars in the place. This guy must have big bucks like Jay Leno as all his mechanic does is make sure all the cars are clean and ready to drive. You name it and it was there, Ambo's, Rebel's, Gremlin's, Hornet's, Pacers and in every body style from wagons to coups to 4 doors of each model. And all in mint original condition. The mechanic looked at my orange Hornet and liked it a lot even though it is not stock. Nice comments like that from some one who knows AMC's and has pristine examples to judge mine against makes all the hard work and money I spent over the last few years worth it. :-) "Doc" Yahoo!
