Ok I always thought itr was 71 only.. i gues I can't be right all the time LOL

You did give me enough of a doubt that I checked my wedding pictures from May of 1970--and there is my 1970 (purchased April 4, 1970) Gremlin all decorated up with toilet paper and shaving cream--with Gremlin characters on the fenders. They also show up in the 1970 brochures, which show a white with red stripe Gremlin just like mine. 1971s were virtually identical to the 1970s, although they did add the Gremlin X model, and dropped the 199 CID engine sometime in 1971.
My 1970 was first registered as a "Rambler
Gremlin" 'cause when I registered it the County Motor Vehicle office didn't have any info on the Gremlin yet.
