Each gas cap has two tabs that fit into slots on the filler neck. On some Gremlins, both tabs are narrow and correspond to two narrow slots on the filler neck. Other Gremlins have a narrow tab and a wide tab with one narrow and one wide slots on the filler neck. The 75 cap may not fit properly. Also, the 73 filler neck is not for "unleaded gas only" as compared to the 75. Check your husbands to see which one he has and ask the seller if it is the same.
