Just about everyone but the cops when they run the VIN. ;)

You simply bolt a Gremlin front clip on (grille, fenders, hood, bumpers), then
modify the C-pillars to revamp the rear side windows, and viola...Gremlin with
4WD. The rear panel is identical for 77/78 Gremlins and 79-82 Spirit kammbacks,
so if you're faking an earlier Gremlin, you need to modify the rear panel, too.

Depends how far ya wanna go!

Same trick works for taking an Eagle wagon and creating a 4WD Sportabout.
Just a litle swapping around.

It's doing the opposite that's hard.- adding the 4WD components to an actual
Gremlin or Hornet, as the floors are different....lotsa cutting and welding fun. :)

So, I could have bought that car, put Gremmie tags on it and fooled everyone but those in the know. Is that what you're saying?

The kammback is simply a Gremlin shell with a Spirit nose and revamp side windows.

The Eagle version, like the other Eagles, is the same vehicle, lifted and with a different
floor pan to fit the transfer case.

Outwardly, the same car.

That's what I was thinking, is it a gremlin or is it longer. I tried to get a good look at the back seat(as it were) but the pics were not good enough.  Paul
