John, I believe this body style was used for more years than that, the red and black Spirits shown here are from the NOS 1980 color catalog; the light blue and the light tan/beige ones are from the 1979 AMC NOS color catalog. Note on the tan one this brochure is in Spanish. Not a VAM catalog, just spanish, rather rare from my collection. Regardless of the correct or incorrect name of them, they are rather rare birds.
