[BaadAssGremlins] Shake Down Cruise Time

Luckily the weather has been good but cold and the roads have been dry
and it looks like it will be that way for 4-5 days. Rain I can deal with
but not snow and ice. Time to shake the car down and fix some quirks.
The battery terminals needed cleaning and the manual chokes cable needed
adjustment. The tranny still has a slight leak so I need to put some
stop leak in it till I get the core my friend gave me rebuilt and
installed. Next week it goes back to my friends shop to find the water
leak on the drivers side floor. The windshield probably needs to be
re-sealed. I had to have the hatch window re-sealed when I first bought
it. The rear window louver was delivered by the soda blaster yesterday
so I will start prepping that for paint this coming week. My friend the
shop owner said I can work on the car and parts there as long as it
dosen't stay there. He is busy and real short on space. It works for me.
If for nothing else I am finally going to be able to drive and enjoy
this car after all the work and money I spent on it in the last year. As
long as the roads are dry I will be driving it every day, like my yellow
one. The yellow one goes to the upholstery shop in a week to 10 days to
get the bucket seats done.  Every place I go now I get compliments on
the orange car. I am like a proud papa with his first born. Yea I know
it is only a car. My 3 kids are all grown up so it is time for ME to
enjoy my cars. I gave up a lot for them when they were growing up. The
wife has not seen the interior with the seats done. She will see it this
morning when I come back from grocery shopping. Like I say my cars are
drivers.
