| Ladies and Gentlemen: As promised, here are the photographs of my 1979 AMC AMX that I am offering
for sale.  I will try to accurately describe all aspects of this car but,
as usual, it will be sold "as is"
with no warranty implied or no promises given. Here are the particulars: VIN#A9C439H210205 Date first sold: 02/34/1980 It is believed to have been sold in Oklahoma City, but I don't know this
for certain.  I believe it was manufactured in June 1979.  I do not
know if this is a "matching numbers" car. Engine: 304 V-8 w/Carter 2-bbl. carb. Trans: 3-sp. automatic Factory Equipment: rear window defrost, air conditioning, power door locks,
power brakes, original AM/FM radio, cruise, believed to be original "donut"
spare and jack intact. Within the last 400 mi. and six months we have done the following: Air filter  (new) PCV valve (new) Oil changed (Castrol 30) Oil filter (new) Fuel filter (new) Fuel tank cleaned, completed recoated (from this car) Spark plugs  (new) Tag light replaced with LED in original housing New seat cover (driver only); set is in mediocre shape New steering wheel cover; original wheel is in fair shape Tag/title brought up to date Cooling system drained, cleaned, refilled to factory specs. Bought a repair manual (new) Replaced temperature sender (new) Replaced oil pressure sending unit (new) Replaced thermostat (new) Replaced thermostat housing (used) GOOD NEWS: Body is in exceptional shape for age (unlike me); actually runs
and drives, usually starts on first attempt; drives straight for age....even
stops- many brake components appear new; good oil pressure, doesn't overheat,
seems rings, valve seats, etc. are in good shape as this AMX advocates a
non-smoking environment; most instruments work; only rust appears in engine
compartment, mostly on battery tray and on hood where the screaming devil (?)
used to roost; dash and some of the interior ain't half bad; may be one tire
away from being able to be driven someplace else.  I've drive it on the
country roads around my house many miles. BAD NEWS: The following components are in need of repair and/or don't
work: Dash lights Cruise control No door key(s) Trim piece above windshield is missing Crack in windshield Headliner is in good reasonably shape except for sagging. Arm rest has more wrinkles that a sharpei. 1 tire (has bulge in sidewall); 3 appear decent Wheels, they're all original and in decent shape, but only one has original
AMC cap Front, passenger side quarter-panel needs a little work (see
photo) Front air dam, fender flares missing Rear, side window louvers missing Driver's side seat needs help Rear hatch release inop Power door locks inop A/C inop Clock inop Brake booster system may be weakening Tachometer "flakey" believed to be related to possible distributor problem;
you're turning a lot more RPMs that it will lead you to believe. Small leak in auto trans cooling line...May be fixed within next week or
so. Trans. filter probably needs change; maybe not changed since Carter in
White House Needs valve cover gaskets replaced; I have two new ones but haven't had the
time to mess with it. Sometimes has to be "jumped" at solenoid: probably bad ignition switch
and/or nuetral safety start switch, or out of adjustment. You may call me at (405) 570-9169 for additional information.  I have
four cars and need to sell two so that I can buy a new one for the wife's
Christmas present.  I believe this car is fairly and firmly priced at $1000
in U.S. cash....Heck, you can't even buy a new go cart for that and this car
will do a whole lot more than one of those. If you're wondering, the other car is a 2002 Saturn VUE 2WD Sport. Thanks for your inquiries! RBC Piedmont, OK
