A one word from experience and it may be cynical but give up the car and
you will be sorry later. Kids grow up and forget you, the wife goes to
live on planet "OZZ" and visites you to make you miserable and you are
left to look up in the sky saying to GOD what happened? Why did I get
rid of the car? Been there done that "ONCE" 25 years ago and I see most
of my friends married over 30 years have the same problem.

Have an uphostery person check it out and see if they can like mount a padded racing(?) seat right in the gap or just make a frame to fit and have it upholstered. Ideas I have now the bucks to do them is another matter. ;)
