Yup, I agree. I had a 232-6, 3speed standard 68 Javelin and that thing was quick, and also got awesome gas mileage. Could drive from Corpus Christi to Houston on 3/4 tank of gas at 60mph. Sure miss it, would like to get another 6 banger Javelin, big fan of them! Maybe shuold just drop in a six into a 68-70 AMX like a buddy of mine did in Beaumont, TX........

I think you are going to be surprised with that 6 and straight stick. I never have any problems getting on the expressway with my 232 automatic. I can name a few cars I have owned that I couldn't say that. No, I am not going to smoke any tires or out run any cop cars but I think it would run 70 all day long and I have never had anyone blow their horn at me because I took off too slow at a red-light.
