Thanks John. I thought I was getting a CRS attack. Old age has turned my
brain to mush sometimes and I appear at times to be a babbling idiot.
That is still a lot of money in my book for that car though, rare or
not.

They did....the original post here was a typo.
The auction states it's a 1980. Rarer still is
that it's a 'base AMX', not the usual full-tilt
version. Note the all-black dash...no silver.
That was a 1980-only choice...my parts car AMX
of thre years ago was another base version...
very, very few built.
