The difference is my orange car was driven almost daily for 16 months from the first day the plates were on it while I was doing the mechanical repairs or having them done, the ones I was unable to do. In another couple of weeks I will be driving it again after the 8 month interior job. Due to my health poor health it has taken much longer than normal and also with unusual problems. Also in my case I have the funds to bring the project to a finish. Mine are drivers as long as there is no ice or snow on the road. Next spring I will have the set of 77 AMX flairs and the rear louver I bought last spring painted and a fresh coat of paint on the car. That won't lay it up for the 8 months the interior job did. Like I said good luck on your project. My orange car was bought initially as a daily driver that ended up needing more work than I initially thought. The super clean body probably blinded me to other problems. But I would rather spend money on mechanical repairs and an interior than rust repair. I spent almost my whole 10,000$ budget I allotted for both cars on the orange one. Now to find the money for the yellow one. "Doc" ------------------------ Yahoo! Well, we never actually KNOW if we'll ever finish a car. Your
orange car has been a good example of that, eh? :)
Far and away, tho, this is the AMC I've coveted most, so every
effort I can muster will be poured into it. The statement you
saw was for that 'worst case' scenario where I simply can't
afford to proceed and I'm forced to consider parting with it.
Now...who has all the '71 jav parts around here?? :)
John

Nice rare car for a resto John. But one question, why buy a car if you
don't know if you will ever see it finished by the statement you made at
the bottom of the pic's and description?
