I just
thought I'd forward this note from the Daughartys, as their car keeps
getting sicker and sicker! Under all that
tweaked, chopped and flared
bodywork is a real AMC Spirit...it's not a tube-chassis wearing a 'glass
body.
This car may have rolled down the assembly line right behind your
Spirit
or Concord, folks. These days, it stays behind nobody!
Here's
the car several years ago when it looked a bit more like a
Spirit,
yet
was already regularly embarassing Vettes at the track.

It's been a while since I last sent you pics of the
spirit, but that doesn't mean we haven't been busy with it. Here are some pics
of the 2005 Spirit.
Some of the more recent changes include a 3 link
rear suspension, 4" lowered fiberglass roof, fiberglass cowl hood, and sectioned
front fenders. The new aero car really works!
New track record at Nelson Ledges got lap times
within about .1 sec of the $100K + SCCA GT-1 track
record.
We're having a ball upsetting Corvettes &
Vipers with our version of the Nash.
