Terry have you ever heard the saying "over restored"? A lot of those
cars do look better than when they were new. AMC was never know for it's
precise fit and trim. If you are going to go to one of these things do
like Eddie say's take your car and put on the field and don't leave it
in the parking lot if you take it either. I took both Hornets to the
spring show here last year and one to the fall show. Both were far from
being show cars. At the spring show I won a 20$ gift certificate to a
restaurant I go to and at the fall show I won a trophy for my orange car
as best daily driver.

I was looking at the pictures on the AMO site. Those cars from the nationals look better than they did when they were new. I know I am old and my memory is slipping but I don't remember them looking that good when I went to St. Louis in 99. I remember there was only about 5 Gremlins and mine looked as good as three of them and there wasn't a 77 or 78 there. I didn't take mine. Glad there is a display only cat
