That photo also appears in the salesmans catalogs too. On the drainage possible problem, I don't believe this was a concern to AMC. Drainage problems existed with a number of models, the 68-70 AMX and Javelin 1/4 panels come to mind, also the rain drains on either side of lower windshield come to mind too, those cars had not even been loaded in Milwaukee and those smal q-tip sized holes had already filled with dust, effectively clogging them.
