My friend had 2 78's one an AMX and the other one a 2 door sedan. The
rear bumper on the 78's are the same as a 74-77 Hornet & Gremlin The
front bumper is a one year only steel one for the 78 Concord. The AMX's
bumpers were painted not chrome like the regular Concord. In 79 AMC went
to that ugly aluminum bumper with the plastic ends. A steel front bumper
from a 78 Gremlin may be the same. I swapped the steel bumpers from the
Concord with alumium ones I had and am using the rear 78 Concord bumper
on my yellow 74 Hornet.

The folks below are looking for some bumpers for their 78 AMX. Does anyone
here know what will interchange? I think, not sure, that 74-79
Hornet/Gremlin/Concord bumpers will, but maybe some of you know different,
please feel free to reply and please copy your reply to them as it might
help, thanks in advance to all who reply.

I have a 78 AMX and the rockers and rear quarters are in pretty rough
shape...I need both and a rear bumper...I am having a terrible time finding
parts for this year of AMX if anyone can help me it would be greatly
