exhaust is a science of its own hotrod or carcraft did a test on 
systems not to long ago, i have 2 1/2 on my 13-1 360 and it has 
flowmasters with duals out the back with 5.0 mustang tips, i have seen 
many go with the big pipes but in most cases it is not needed, a good 
friend has a street truck that makes 1200 hp on the chassie dyno it 
makes more power with a 4 inch system than open headers and gos slower 
at the track with out the exhaust figure that one out? a good custom 
bent 2 1/2 sytem with the right mufflers will work great and sound 
good to and will not rob you of any power.
