Yup. Like the brochures say, they 'prices and specifications subject to change without notice'. This is why I refer to my copper Hornet as an 'Early-73' and my blue one as a 'Late-73'. The Blue car has the same '74 changes you noted. In 1974, they also made a running change. Early- 74s have the 73/74 grille with round lights. Late-74s got the 75-77 grille with rectangular lights. Now- the Cane wagon...that sticker was typed up at the dealer, right? I'll grant it's possible it was a dealer-custom, like those Hornet GX stripe kits and such. Just a tacky tack-on to create a model that didn't exist before. Was the 82/84-ish Camaro 'XF' stripe package local only to the northeastern US or do others recall that dopey sticker package? John -----Original Message----- From: eddiestakes@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:eddiestakes@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] I don't see a delivery date, but believe it may have been late in the model year. It's a '73, but the Hornet script is off the hood and on the fender. The filler neck is hidden behind the rear plate where it was moved for '74. I read where AMC, along with other manufacturers, got exemptions to extend the model year into new production to get more cars in under the yearly emmissions standards. I know Chevy did this for a least one year in the early 80's for S-10's. ------------------------ Yahoo! Groups Sponsor --------------------~--> Give the gift of life to a sick child.
