Well yesterday Bill came over and helped me clear out room and we
put the 70 car in the garage next to the 72. Not much room now. Now I
can start cleaning the interior and begin the frame connector
project. I removed that nasty black plastic side view. Bill said it
looks dump and I should repaint it. ..... No time for that and I am
not sure it looks all that bad.....What do you guys think? He also
reminded me how bad the dash looks.....again what do you guys think?
I have the dash from the hornet I could use.
We fired up the car for a few sec. open headers always gets me going!
Found out the carb is a Vac 2ndary I will swap it out for the one on
my 72. A 650 DP.(I have a BG 850 for the black car)
The headers are square port and the bottoms are beat up bad. I will
be in the market for a used set of dog leg headers anyone?
I went back to the parting of the hornet. Removed the grille,
headlights, side marker lights, front bumper and plastic filler, hood
latch, widshield, trim, windshield washer system, radiator catch can
and bracket, fender bolts, battery tray.. it will clean up nicely and
all the metal under the hood is rust free! Started removing the wire
harness too. I hope today to be able to get some of the dash removed.
maby the tail lights and rear trim also. Don't know if the wife will
let me yet. Gott to go to her Dad's today at 1pm and she isn't
feeling well. I may have Baby duty, all sleeping right now.
He is waking up gotta run. Ok back he is back to sleep.

I also will have to fab up a set of traction bars. The ones that are on there are universal crap. I was told they were the good bolt on ones. but nope. I don't have the cash to get the right ones so I will have to make use of my welder. I will use what is there and make a plate mount for them and weld it on. Oddly the shocks are mounted to the rear directly. They are air shocks. I have no idea how they will work but I am not changin them at this time. The motor and tranny are stock amx units. I am swapping the points for a unilite and Accell plugs, I have a torker and the summit big cam but will wait for the swap. after I make the first run and it is a 14.2 I will be wantin to do lots of swapping! Namely a 70 390 sitting on my shop floor! but that is MUCH   Later. I have a set of 291-c heads on the bench for porting if I can ever get the time. Too many projects.

I still need to paint my 72's calipers and put on the new brake hoses, then put the fuel system back together with the new carb and BG filter, then put on the new sneaks and get her back on the ground!

I need to go dragracing soon! Gettin the spring fever! Gonna be sunny and hi of 50 here today

Sorry to ramble but I just had to share and I like the imput from you all.
