Actually, once you get all of the clips and screws removed, the whole harness is held onto the firewall plug with a single bolt/screw nestled down between the two external connecting podes. Remove the one screw and the whole unplugs. I've removed everything, including the suspension, steering and crossmember from my 72 Gremlin bay and have been given it the once over with a wire wheel brush. I also gutted the interior. Now she's just a shell. About the only thing left on her are the two rear side windows which still have to be removed. As Lu mentioned doing, I still have to get into the nooks and crannies with a small wheel and sandpaper. Samething on the interior. What joy!
