You know, speaking of police cars. You can buy Houston Police cruisers, 
mostly Caprices and Grand Marquis models with Interceptors, here in Houston 
at Houston Hobby Auto Auction. Of course like every police vehicle they have 
been beat to hell. However, most are under 80K. The last auction I went to 
over there 4 went thru the most someone paid for one was $2800, the others 
$1500-$2500. To me at least, the Interceptor drivetrain is worth that alone.

What is funny is sometimes you see these driving around too. And no quicker 
way to watch speeders slow down in traffic when they think it is a unmarked 
policia. Before the cars are sold, they scrape off the decals on them. And 
then paint over where the decals were with well, Columbia Blue spray paint.

There was another junkyard auction like this that appears on ebay from time 
to time, the fellow is in the north east and wants something like $2.5 mil 
for it, but he has some collectible cars in there, however, in the 4 times I 
have seen it listed, zero bids.

Does look like there's many worth-while cars in
that mess...not much to sell.

The only thing I saw that was interesting was
the three matching green-and-white police cars,
plus the fourth that seems to be the Dodge
Monaco of Blues Brothers fame....a 76 or so.
The other three are 77/78 models.
