replaced the window crank knobs that were missing with factory looking ones from the help section of my local auto parts store. >Just a note to everybody. You know how those worthless knobs break of the factory window crank handles, and then you go buy those universal ones at the Autozone and they look even cheaper than the originals. The solution I found was...(gasp)...my spare '66 4dr Ford Fairlane had 4 window crank handles in it and the spline was the same and the black knob was smaller in diameter(no chance of breaking off) and the allen head screw that held it on was the same thread too. Lots more of them old Fords in the JYs than our AMC's. I think they (Ford/Mercury) used that style handle from '66 to '69, maybe more years, on lots of other things (Mustangs,Comets,Falcons,Torinos,Cougars). JY price 5 bucks tops.
