I suspect the door tag info could help there. If 
the trim code and paint code for AMXs was 
restricted to few choices, the combo of these 
codes would tell you if it definitely WASN'T a 
'real AMX'....a term I loathe, but I digress.

I also understand that there was nothing in the vin# to tell you if it
was an AMX either. So how would you tell a real one over a well done
clone? A targa bar, some flairs and a rear window louver and some
decals, emblems, interior trim and you would have a perfect clone.
