Re: [BaadAssGremlins] Is 3 1974 Hornet's Hatchbacks The Charm??????

These 2 Hirnet's just happened to appear. I was not actively looking for
them. Although I did get the tip on both of them from my AMC friend. He
knew I was pissed off about getting screwed out of the orange one 5
years ago. The orange car was local in the same town I live in. So when
the owner called him to say it was for sale he hooked me up. The guy
worked 6 blocks from where I live. The white Hornet I saw last year or
the year before at the local show in Ardsley and is a clean car. White
with a black interior with bucket seats, 304, don't remember what carb
2 or 4 bbl. Factory 3 speed on the floor and a nice sounding set of duel
exhaust's. It already has the free flow exhaust manifolds on it. I don't
remember what tires or wheels were on it. 5 years ago I was actively
looking for another AMC and either lost out on them or the supposedly
mint car was a rust bucket or not even a parts car. The orange Hornet
was the first car I looked at way back then.

It must me nice in finding these things. Actually in a way it is my fought
that I don't have another one. I want a perfect AMC on the next block so I don't
have to go for to get it. I saw the plane Jane 70 Hornet in Ohio with 35,000
miles on it drooped from 2500 to 2000. It is hard to believe that someone
wouldn't want a 34 year old low mileage car for that price. I guess a 4 door 6
banger AMC is not the most desirable in the world. I have found some undesirable
old Fords in good shape around here for the money I want to spend. I have
thought about them but if I am going to have a 30 year old plain Jane car I want
an AMC. I am too cheap to pay big bucks for a toy.
